Tillandsia Spotlight: Pohliana
Native to South America at altitudes between 800 and 1500 meters above sea level, the Tillandsia pohliana grows on rocks, amongst bushes, and dry wood. You can find the T. pohliana growing in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina.
The Tillandsia pohliana is a silvery leafed air plant with ample trichomes. It will bloom a large flower spike that will bloom apricot colored blooms with white flowers.
The T. pohliana is considered a xeric plant, and prefers bright light and some full sun. This is a great air plant for beginners since it is pretty forgiving and can withstand brighter light.
